The metabolism is the
body’s fat burning system. Every movement you make, no

the faster your metabolism works.
The amount of calories your body burns depends on your body

of muscle mass, tend to have a faster metabolism, which
means they burn calories faster than those who have greater
body fat. What this means is that if you are in shape, you
will probably have a faster metabolism and burn more
calories.

reasons, there are certain steps that you can take to
increase your metabolism.

build muscle and reduce body fat. Fitness centers,

trainers that can create a routine especially for you that
includes resistance exercises. Fitness centers also have
nutritionists that can create a menu plan that is not only
filled with tasty foods, but also can assist your
metabolism. This method is not so much a diet as it is
changing your eating habits.
While everybody is different and the results will vary for
each person, you will notice a difference in how you feel
when you add exercise to your life. When you add resistance
and aerobic exercise to your everyday routine, you are
ensuring that you are speeding up your metabolism.
If you have a slow metabolism and it has been diagnosed as
hypothyroidism, there are treatments and herbal remedies
that are available. There are specific symptoms of
hypothyroidism, which include fatigue, dizziness and
irritability.
The treatment that is used most by doctors is prescribing a
hormone pill. The strength of the medication depends on the
level of hormone in your body, so blood tests are
necessary. Although the results of taking these medications
are not instantaneous, you will notice a difference within
one to two weeks. The full effect of the medications takes
up to two months. It is important to discuss with your
doctor any questions or concerns that you may have, no
matter how small they may seem to you.
When you go to health and nutrition stores, you will find
products that claim to boost your metabolism. While some of
these products do what they claim, it is important to speak
to your doctor before taking anything. If you have an
underlying medical condition, you could be endangering your
health.
Many people are not aware that genetics plays a big part in
their metabolism. People come in all shapes and sizes. It
is not realistic to believe that you can transform yourself
into having a Hollywood movie star body. What is possible
is that you can transform yourself into the best that you
can be.
